Made it down to Zion in anticipation of CruiseMoab !
Drive from Montana down to Utah was fairly uneventful.
Really happy with how the Front Runner rack worked out.
Also got to test the new ARB Zero fridge. Worked like a charm.
Will be hitting the back roads of Zion tomorrow.
Excited for...
@FxFormat Thanks for chiming in. See what I found below.
City Racer
Is this the part or is there something else you might think is required?
Many Thanks for the feedback. This is why the forum is the best!!
Had my brake failure story begin last night on a drive home late at night in a cellphone deadspot (out in Montana).
Limped home at around 20 miles per hour and used the eBrake to stop the truck in my garage.
Took this video of my symptoms - trying to diagnose if its the Actuator that is not...
Did get these Wildpeak AT3Ws installed last weekend in anticipation of Cruise Moab on my 99.
Thanks to Gary and Jeff at Mudrak in Sonoma for the quick install.

This has been my fear. Was super excited that I got in on Cruise Moab this year. Even got the time off at work, my wife on board BUT coronavirus you're killing me (figuratively).
If I recall it was more lateral. I think you start with the left and right sides. Once these are off you can go for the front and rear facing pieces.
Good luck!
Yeah no problem. There are four black plastic cover pieces around the sunroof that you delicately pry off. And I think just 4 screws holding the glass in place. Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.
@dbfw my first course of action would actually be to take off your sunroof glass and pour some water down the drain.
If it goes out onto the ground through the drain tubes then you could mark this off your list. I had the same issue on my passenger side with a soggy carpet.
After putting 7-8...
Thank you for the suggestions and feedback @michael99b @l3n0x and @aging fleet . It was pretty easy to get the black trim off ( there were four pieces in total). And the 4 x 10mm nuts that hold the sunroof in place.
I immediately saw a pool of water on the passenger side and some sediment...
Hello Team MUD!
Recently purchased my 99' LC about two months ago. I knew when I bought it that the sunroof was not working. But was advised that as long as I didn't care about having it open that it shouldn't be an issue.
However, it had not been raining at the time I bought the LC, so I...
Took my Hundred out to Oceano Dunes for Surf N' Turf. Had a blast!! Smashed in my license plate after making it up a giant dune. Well worth it.
Big thanks to @pismojim for organizing a great event.
Hello Forum,
In my new to me 99' LC, I found that whatever was overhead in the center row is missing. Instead I have this pretty hole in the headliner to look at.
This seems to be a factory hole, since I've seen the same cut-out on ebay - HEADLINER Toyota Land Cruiser 1999 GRAY CLOTH ( USED...
Thanks for all the feedback. Yeah, I don't want to go overboard or pull the trigger prematurely.
The T-fittings look to be in good shape ( no weeping) and all the other hoses in the engine bay looked fine.
I was a little surprised by the surface rust myself in the suspension. I didn't see it...
Yeah, I think the last owner (seems there were three so far) was lazy and didn't seem to take too much care of the truck.
The technician at Toyota said he felt it was pretty cherry all things considered. I tend to agree with him.
There are always these "other" issues we find after we buy a...
In the market for my second LC ( first one is a 1989).
Found a 99' LC with 113k original miles.
Photo Album Here
It is at a Toyota dealership right now. The tech stated that it needs 4 coil packs replaced and recommended that all the spark plugs replaced.
I saw that the CV boots are leaking...
