Just to update this thread: the problem ended up being the new speakers I installed in the front doors. They were a touch deeper and so the windows contact the back of the speaker when they roll all the way to the bottom. I had to shim the speakers out a bit and now all is well.
I went and drove several 200s with cash in hand to buy one. I didn’t like them as much as I thought I would. Yes they were “nicer” in most ways, but they weren’t as cool and had no soul. I prefer my 100 over the 200s, and not because of cost.
Good tips. I will see if I can figure out the issue and if I do, I will report back. It is strange that both windows do the exact same thing. I wondered if it was a normal part of the design because they are so similar.
Hey everyone,
Any idea what would be causing this? Is it normal? BOTH of my front windows in my '06 LX do the exact same thing...the window moves out from the channel and then clunks back into place when starting to close from the fully open position. Sometimes it causes the Auto up feature on...
I'm wondering if one bulb goes bad if it messes up the circuit/resistance some and then neither DRL will light up? Fuses are good. I guess the relay is good..it is hard to tell by just looking at it. I will replace the bulb and see what happens.
Any ideas what would cause this? Neither DRL is lit now, and when I go to high beam only one high beam comes on. Last night I flicked to my high beams and they both came on for a brief second before one of them burnt out. The only thing I have done recently is install a bt-45 TOY bluetooth...
My AHC is completely refreshed and operates perfectly. My rig came with E-rated 33s on it and I think the weight and stiffness just made the ride quality more harsh than what I wanted. These new General Grabbers solved that while still giving me an aggressive stance that fills the wheel wells.
You can have 33s and a nice ride. For those of you searching for a better ride with your 100 (particularly if you feel like the AHC is still a bit harsh) then go look at your tires. If they are E-rated, then that might be your problem. I have all new globes and fluid in my AHC and it functions...
Could you elaborate on foaming the inside? Is it spray foam? Will it harden and cause issues if I have to remove the panel to replace a part in the future? I have a rattle in my passenger side door (inside the door panel) and I have removed it in the past to refoam the speaker. There are a lot...
That's good to know. I might call the mechanic and ask how much they would charge to just press out the bushings and put in new ones in the front. I think I wanted more than that when I got my first quote. Thank you for those part numbers!
Yes, I get the same sound with my water bottle in that cupholder. Drives me nuts! I am going to have my wife drive me around on a rough road so I can pinpoint all of the interior noises and then try to fix each of them. Right now I think there are 2-3 moderate ones. The tailgate was the major...
I think I have been conflating the ride quality of my LX with the interior rattles, and using those rattles to judge the quality of the ride. I say this because I did a complete fluid flush yesterday along with brand new globes, and I still was thinking the ride was harsh. But today I drove...
I didn't know that they were all still somewhat ok until after I removed them. And they certainly weren't perfect, because I was only getting 7 graduations with my old ones and now I am getting almost 14 graduations. They were at the end of their life.
This is good information, thank you! I have looked into doing bushings, but I don't feel comfortable doing them myself and my mechanic wants a lot of money to swap them out. Also my ride quality might be better than I thought, because I have been conflating rattles with ride comfort...I'm about...
I'd love to hear about the ride quality of the tires being talked about in this thread. I have Michelin LTX AT2s on my LX and I find them to be pretty harsh at lower speeds, and that is with them aired down to 30psi. Anybody care to share their experiences, especially if they have had the LTX...
