2005-2007 Land Cruiser Wheels on 1998?

Just found this thread and have a related question: will the stock '08-12 LC wheels (8x18) fit on an 03-07 LC? I have an 03 and can't for the life of me find a new or refurbished set of 4 03-07 gen wheels for my 03.

Best Source for 03 LC turn signal unit?

Happy New Years, Mudders. Who is the best source for ordering a replacement turn signal unit? I need to replace the existing one, which got smashed by road debris - a chunk of ice off a truck smashed the clear plastic housing. Amazingly, the light still works (in parking-light...

    Independent Inspections and Buying Out-of-State

When I was shopping for a 100 series, I used the service that is linked on eBay for a 100 series vehicle that was listed by a Range Rover dealer that was out of state. I think I paid $200. They inspected it and did a road test. The biggest benefit was the pictures - they took a ton of them...

New front brakes on '03 after 17k miles??

Good question - I had the same thought at first. I checked the service record - it states the front brakes were replaced at 43k. I'm cool with 20-30k (hopefully closer to 30k), based on what what I've read here + informal research. I guess I'm not surprised - the 100 is pretty darn heavy...

New front brakes on '03 after 17k miles??

Fair point, TM. I suspect the PO's 17 year old daughter drove it a bunch and I'd venture to guess she wasn't easy on the vehicle. I have noticed that, compared to other vehicles, it just "goes" - it seems to glide forever in around-town driving. It's :princess:'s DD and she says she's having...

New front brakes on '03 after 17k miles??

Brought my 03 over to my trusty local mechanic for an oil change at 60k and asked him to go over the vehicle (I've owned it for only 2 months). He says everything looks good but it needs new front brakes and rotors. The PO's service records indicate new brakes were installed at 43k by trusted...

Buyer's Remorse - worrying about condition

Fair enough, especially on the point of bringing it in for the dealer to "check it out". That'll turn into exploratory surgery, and likely a hefty bill for them to say; "we checked it out, everthing's fine, that'll be $450, please." Not all dealerships are Stealerships, but I do know that...

    Can I safely pull this?

Well, there's also the tongue weight issue. What is your estimated tongue weight with this trailer/boat combo? Does your 6000lbs estimate include trailer weight? I agree with jmarlo that pulling it out of the water is the least of your concerns. I'd be a lot more concerned about higher...

Buyer's Remorse - worrying about condition

Sweet! Thanks for the reassurance, guys. It definitely drives fine. I haven't had a chance yet try out the locking differential (in appropriate conditions), but likely will in the next few weeks while on vacation.:steer:

Buyer's Remorse - worrying about condition

Thanks for the words of encouragement, guys. For peace (and piece) of mind, I'll mention it to the Toy dealer when I bring it in for the 60k maintenance. In any event, very excited to officially join the 100 series club.

Buyer's Remorse - worrying about condition

So I just plunked down $25k for an '03 with 59k miles. Appears to be in very good condition inside and out. Did a thorouhg test drive and reviewed all service records performed by reputable local Toy dealer - all on schedule and no issues. The sellers seem reasonable and honest. It was a...

    Wholesale prices of 03/04 100s

Thanks! Timing is everything in life - this is extremely helpful - I'm about to enter negotiations on a private party sale on an 03 with 60k miles. He's looking for $26.5, but i'd like to get alot closer to $24 (or less). Am I being to aggressive? I've also been looking at dealer-sold...

    Need Help with Decision

I've also been looking for an 02 - 04 with less than 70k miles. I haven't seen any 02's without NAV (I'd prefer one without). It would be a DD for :princess: (maybe eventually some mods). There are definitely more bells and whistles with the 03, compared to the 02... I guess I'll take...
