    Builds The Story of Blue

I did up and back down the aspen side… we talked about doing a loop through CB and back over schofield pass, but chose against due to time… one of the other 80s went on to CB(then kebler pass back), and got stuck in trail traffic due to a break down… dodged that bullet.

How long are you going to be in Aspen? I may or may not have some at work in glenwood(it’s been a while since selling the 100), but I wouldn’t mind picking a bottle up for you tomorrow if bighorn has it in stock. I live in basalt, not to far north of aspen, so a meetup would be easy… LMK

    Intermittent Dead Battery 07 LX

Ok, this is all good information. I believe we are narrowing down to a failing starter, weak battery, or intermittent draw. The cheap long way is to let it sit of another week while monitoring batt voltage and amp draw… If the problem reoccurs, and the battery voltage/draw are ok then I...

    Intermittent Dead Battery 07 LX

A touch higher than desired, but shouldn’t drain the battery very quickly… In my case the DVD drive would randomly turn on… I had to test multiple times, before I “caught” it drawing… it would pull 500mA, and would drain the battery as fast as 3 days… When it wouldn’t start, was there any...

    Intermittent Dead Battery 07 LX

Most meters have “slow blow” fuses that can handle higher than rated spikes. The fuse in my meter is the same dimensions as a typical barrel fuse, so one could be interchanged. IIRC for the LC, the doors still have plunger type switches near the door strikers, black oblong with a “button”...

    Intermittent Dead Battery 07 LX

Sounds like you’re on the right track. What was the amp draw when you were testing? ~40mA(0.040A) or less is ok. If your meter is reading constant 0 when testing, or there is no power in the vehicle, it’s possible the meter fuse has opened. All of the amperage will be running through the meter...

    Intermittent Dead Battery 07 LX

I dealt with a random parasitic draw on our 06 LC. I tracked it down to the dvd drive for the navigation. Based on your post, you measured for a draw using the voltage setting. The meter needs to be set to amps(usually have to move the red lead to the amp plug on the meter), and installed in...

The time has come to wrap this thread up... My last posting was about a vapor lock situation while traveling through Texas in the summer. Initially I thought possibly the fuel pump was the next logical step to prevent the vapor lock from happening. I researched mud and found lots of folks...
