I was so close to pulling the cord for the 2.8 but my tax bill was too high... I watch all your vid's. I really likes how you broke it down by system.
I will get this engine in the future. It will be amazing in the 4 door 40 series I have been dreaming of building for way too long...
What...
2x on a bumper run. It looks really nice and exactly what I am looking for. Hell, I'd take the roof rack too.
Great build and can not wait to see this and the 45 in person.
Cheers
Did you make it passed the mud slide near Banff before it came down this afternoon or are you stuck on the other side? Hope so! Congrats on the new 40!
Man I love this truck. It looked great in the video. After watching the video and looking at OtterX's company website, it give a better idea of your comments and expectations. Hope you get the truck to where you want it and start really enjoying it.
I was in Edmonton yesterday and drove by and had a quick look. I never thought I would see a Mega Cruiser! And then to see 2 of them! So cool. Congrats!
Breckenridge, I am considering adding a second alt also on my 3B but have no idea how or where I would place it or support it... I have OEM power steering so that eats up that much more space. If you have any links or photos you could share that would be great.
Cheers
My other 40 has body, steering, braking, electrical, rust damage to the rear frame and all other sorts of other issues. I will keep it and do something with it down the road but I miss drive the shorty so I am going to freshen up the 42.
The 42 has been under covered parking for the last 12...
I have a 1984 BJ-42 w/original drive train. The engine has lost a cylinder so I want to change it out. I have a drive train out of an 84 60 series in my other 40 that runs well and has no leaks.
How should I move forward? Just swap the engine or swap the entire drive train? As far as I...
I have recently picked up a 1984 BJ-42 with a horrible knock in the engine. I got it for a smok'n deal because of this And as my 1980 BJ-40 does not have most of the components like a heater, disc brakes, power steering, and the little things like dash pads I thought I would save myself a ton...
My buddy and I bought a non mod'd, used as a farm tractor for it's entire life, 1980 BJ40 in Costa Rica and drove it from Panama to Canada over ten months. We paid $4000USD. We maybe spent a $1000 bucks to keep her going over the ten months not including diesel. Made it back to Canada in the...
You guys keep talking like Land Cruisers are the only RHD vehicles here in Canada and I know you know that it isn't the Land Cruiser crowd for the most part that is the driving force behind shutting down RHD vehicles but it is the 20 year olds driving the skylines and other 400+ HP cars that...
