I use the PRI-D and PRI-G products all the time. In my fuel drums, I ad "KILLEM" as an algaecide/biocide. When I dispense fuel into my vehicles, I first pour some of the PRI-D or PRI-G into the tank.
The diesel in the drums at my home gets polished before being dispensed by passing through a...
I'm seeing diesel here in Houston for $2.69/gallon and up to $2.79/gallon. The average seems to be from twenty to thirty cents per gallon LESS than regular unleaded. JOY!!!
My experience regarding longevity of components in a 24volt system is different than some others, apparently. If you talk to electrical engineers, they will bear out what I'm saying and it is one of the very reasons why there are moves afoot to potentially move the automotive industry away from...
If you think you've got it tough owning/using/maintaining a 24volt system up there in the GWN, try it down here in Texas. As the owner of two such cruisers, I am constantly on the lookout for spares and bulbs, etc. for my two BJ's. But I wouldn't trade or convert them for the world. They are...
As others have said: Do NOT push too high of a gear up hills. Higher rpm's are your friend on hills as you'll then move more air and keep EGT's down. Diesels do like to work hard but you've got to use your brain on the throttle and gear selection. The other thing that happens when you are...
I agree completely. I've had bad luck with optimas in both of my 24v cruisers. I've got them still in my 12 KZJ-70 (2 batteries in parallel) and have had no problems at all.
One thing I now do with my 24v systems is to swap battery position each time I change the oil. So far, so good.
I've had my BJ-42 for about four years now and have NEVER seen that needle move. I've long felt that I'd rather have a voltmeter than an ammeter; however, such is life.
I can't speak to how you drive or work your truck; however, my 1KZ-T - powered Land Cruiser regularly gives me between 19-21 miles per gallon, depending on city or highway useage. That's U.S. gallons and not Imperial. I have never bothered to calculate what that would be in terms of liters/100km.
Uhh, yes, the 1KZ-TE uses more fuel than the 2L-TE. So what? The K a better engine and I get almost exactly the same mileage from it as I get from my 3B-equipped cruisers. More powerful than the 3B and same economy. What's the downside again?
