So at this point I've given up on getting my tach to work with the recent mechanical pump swap. Short of drilling my bellhousing to install a sensor and DSL-1D there don't seem to be good (read, not $$$$) combinations of equipment to make either the stock CAS or internal pump toothed...

Is it possible that you have enough line pressure to run the clutches within the transmission, but not enough to engage the lockup clutch in the TC? I have no idea which would require more pressure to operate.. just throwing ideas out there.
