    1HDT ACSD replacement

Posting this as a new thread to make it easier to search. My 1HDT has been clicking loudly from the area of the fuel pump when it is cold. When the engine is at normal operating temp, the clicking disappeared. Dana Adams told me his had the same problem and he disabled his Assist(?) Cold Start...

    1HD-T idle shake

I somehow don't think this has to do with the ACSD. Mine was bad and I just replaced it (see separate thread) but the symptoms were completely different. Dave

    12H-T & 2H parts interchangeability

The Denso dealer around here charges $50 retail for each injector (Diamond Diesel, Oakland, CA) but they charge more for dual stage units. They did my 2H injectors, but I am sending my 1HDT injectors to be rebuilt in Oz as we speak ;). It is not a matter of cost, but a matter of experience...

    1HD-T gearbox

Yes, but not for perpetuity. Yes, if you keep the 1HZ flywheel and clutch, or use a 300 mm Isuzu clutch and HDT pressure plate. No very different. Dave

    1HZ Engine and Turbo

Hi Desertico, welcome to the board. I've been hearing rumors of stronger pistons for the 1HZ available in Australia, but I haven't found a definite source. You cannot fit 1HDT pistons to a 1HZ without changing the connecting rods as the wrist pins/gudgeon pins are not the same size. 1HDT...

    80 Series - 1HDT Injectors

You've done the basics like checking your air filter and your turbo is working, right? If the injectors haven't been done, it is worth it to have them checked first. Here most injection shops will test them for you for free. Dave

    1HD-T Thermostat

Mine usually takes 5 to 10 minutes before I see the temp gauge go into normal range. But maybe it's the warmer climate. Dave

Yup, I got three engines, parts and quite a few axles from him. Would buy more. Dave

    1HZ exhaust stud size?

I don't know if this would help, but on the 1HDT it is M10x1.25 at the flange. Dave

Here is one on a 1983: I've never seen them on LHD models Dave

    Australia Imports

Another reason I think is economics. A good vehicle in Oz is priced accordingly and in Japan even a good vehicle lose its value faster with age. A lot of Aussie stuff we are seeing here are the older, high mileage units, the ones that make economic sense to import. Dave

Lookin for a good diesel mechanic in California to install an AXT turbo on a HJ60

I recommend Mudrak Custom Cruisers in Sonoma. He has installed turbos on 3Bs and 1HZs. Dave

    Turbo to a 2H.

bbd, if the temp sensor is placed in the radiator inlet hose, would it only read when the thermostat is open? Dixie Chicks? Dixie Chicks? :D Dave
