Hi All,
I pulled my A/C compressor out and opened it up this weekend. It was a very interesting tear down.
It had frozen up.
After getting it out of the cruiser (1980 BJ41 2B) I put it in the vise and was able to get it to turn with a 24" pipe wrench but it would lock up again when I stopped.
I...
The brakes work fine and I haven't noticed a little blue light.
If it's the back up buzzer it only works to make me back up and go home cuz the noise was killing me.
On the wiring diagrams there is a seat belt buzzer referenced but there are no wires to the seat belts so I don't know what would...
Hiya,
After lubricating my door hinges and the hinges/pivot points of the brake and clutch on my 80 BJ41 I thought I was good.
Got in this morning and once I turned the engine over a horrible buzzing came from a buzzer under the dash.
It is ear splitting.
I know it is an alarm of some sort. I...
Trouble light?
Trouble light? Is that something like a spotlight or a light to work under the hood with?
Is there a standard spade connector that fits it?
I liked your slideshow.

Hi, I was trying to find a route for my satelite antenna the other day and I found a 24 volt outlet in my glove box.
It was definitely a factory item as the screws that held it in were screwed into welded threads.
Does anyone know what size/type plug fits in the box?
I'm planning on using a...
I looked at the Solar converter that I've seen people talk about on the board. But if I remember correctly it was almost 200 bucks. I found a number of them on Ebay and then a quick search showed even more. Is there something wrong with these others like in the link below...
Thanks for the replies. I have no intention of getting rid of it. It doesn't seem to be rusted out and with the exception of lift, tires and Line-x the truck is stock and bitchin. Plus, brakes are a good thing. It's also tucked pretty high up so it is definitely not in danger considering that...
Hi All,
I can't figure out what this big canister thingy is underneath my BJ41.
It's about the size of a toaster. It is under the floorboard on the passenger side (RHD). It has a sensor of some sort coming out the back and a couple of hoses going in the front.
It looks like it might be...
Nothing's happening?
It says that it is downloading but I see no kbs per second and my perecentage is still zero after half an hour?
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,

2b Parts? / Epc? Any B's
Has anyone found a good place to purchase parts for the 2B? How about any of the B's
Can the EPC be downloaded for certain years?
Thanks,
PeterC
Thanks
I found out about the coil the other day. I thought the hole was for the alarm bell that goes off when I go over 100km. Glad to see that I do have the light.
It does seem to start better early in the morning, now that I am using the glow plugs.
Thanks all for your answers.

Hi all,
Last night as I was admiring my BJ41 I noticed a spot on the driveway.
This morning there was no spot (after moving it) and then after getting to work, spot again.
It looks to be coming from the transfer pump which is mounted to the side of the injection pump. Specifically from around...
I live in So Cal and I just realized that I wasn't using my glow plugs at all.
I thought it worked like it does in my truck (I know the truck doesn't use glow plugs but I thought the sequence might be the same), I was wrong.
I noticed that the ignition had a "glow" position on it. So by turning...
Thanks
The rims are 16" they were on it when I bought it. I think they are Toyota but I'm not sure how to tell. The other tires were only about 28" tall so these are a big difference. The freeway speed is better and I don't notice much difference getting going but a little longer getting to...
I painted it. I fixed most of the rust(found some more while lifting it) I lifted it (OME 2.5) and put some tires on it (BFG 235 85 16 Mud Terrains). I still plan on Line-x the inside when I fix the rust spot and then I'll be done. But here it is:
