I think that would work perfectly for me. I should have room soon to do some project type stuff on the cruiser.
If I went to a auto alarm installer and had them install a basic system powered by the solar 12v converter that is on the truck, you think that is enough for them...
I just got back from a long day dealing with a local alarm company here in Victoria BC.
Originally they had told me that they could install an alarm system for my Diesel HJ61. Once the truck was their they totally backed out and said they couldn't do it at all, and they had not ordered a 24volt...
PS. Im going to be putting in a different steering wheel.... My hands sweat alot and slip on the wooden steering column..
What do I have to look out for when looking on ebay for a steering wheel.

Alpine Car Audio here in Victoria are the only ones I found (didnt look THAT hard though) that know how to wire up a 24 volt system.
Its not fully installed yet, but they are using a 24volt alarm system that is made for 24voltage.
PS. just got the truck back from the body shop... they did an...
Interesting, sounds like these are not meant to be on all the time from what I'm reading... people put an on off switch on the dash for them.

I want to hook up some new hella horns on my HJ61 Diesel 24volt.

They come in 24volt as well which is sweet!
Question: Can I hook these larger horns up on a 89 HJ61?
Where would I mount them as the stock ones...
