80 series with dual batteries. Uses 24 volts for start and runs with 12. At idle it's reading 12 +/- at both the dash voltmeter and the auxiliary one and when running it's approximately 14.5. Also, when the signals are on at idle the tach and factory voltmeter "bounce" a bit.
What should it be...
Right, I have a LHD Turbo diesel 5 speed with dual factory battery set up. The positive lead on the starting battery (left side when facing truck) is very frazzled and it's not providing a solid connection.
I removed the terminal end to replace it and straighten out the braid so that slides...
Yes, they are connected internally. However, my idea is to take a length of 0-1AWG wire, connect it to the marine terminal (which will be adapted to a post terminal) and the post terminal. If not, should I just connect the acessories to the adapted marine terminals.
I don't think you understand me. I have 2 pairs of terminals on my AGM starting battery. Should I connect an 0-1ga cable from one terminal to the other. I'm going to use the second pair of terminals to run my accessories.
The 0-1ga wire will connect to each terminal. My thinking is that with...
91 HDJ-80. Factory dual battery set up. 24v to start, then 12v to run, including electrical items. Installed 2 AGMs.
On the starting battery, LEFT side when facing truck I have an AGM that has marine terminals along with the standard posts. I have the engine's positive and negative cables on the...
OK, this may come across as a dumb question, but being retired from education, there is no such thing as a dumb question.
I bought 2 27 series batteries for my HDJ-80. The one (accessory battery) on the right facing the truck is giving me grief on the install, attributed to a raised section on...
These are the batteries I bought. The 27F has a second set of terminals. Problem with the 27F side is the cables are not reaching the primary terminals by roughly 1.75 +/- inches.
I see that the 27 (starting looks it's mounted perpendicular to the front of the truck(?)
Truck: 1991 HDJ-80, dual batteries.
Problem: bought two 27 sized batteries, yes one is an F. They fit perfectly in the "box," yet the positive and negative cables do not reach on the right battery's (facing the truck) terminals. I have yet to put the left one in.
I pulled the right box out...
91 HDJ80 with dual batteries and auxiliary fuse boxes. Which battery to connect power to run the compressor? Which battery for isolation?
Facing the truck: LS or RS?
Right,
91 HDJ-80 with dual batteries, you know the 24 V start, then revert to 12 V when running. I'd like to fit an auxiallary power source to run a compressor and the like with the engine running or not. Can this be done, and can the auxiallary power source (assuming its another battery), be...
