You don't need a 24v unless you have a 24v vehicle. Same goes for winches. Except these are lower amperage so you can convert easily if you want to. If you bought 12v, you did what I would have too.
I would just carry a walbro and a spare. No use going that level of overkill when a Racor and Walbro are $200 all in off eBay. Unless you really want to go overkill :)
Ebay has had these on and off coming from Europe that were sub $800 and pretty well equipped. Don't know the market in the last year, but when I was set on buying one they could be had for a fair price. You can also pull them off some of the older TDI VW's. Rebuild is easy and they're dead simple.
Just some advice here, if you can find someone that works for a company with great FedEx rates, you can chop up to 80 percent or more off the quoted rate. There are also some vendors here that container across stuff, so you may be able to ride on board that. Also, a group buy would be a solid...
Yeah, I wouldn't run two of the Toyota ones in line. The racor is a good option and you can go 10 or i believe 2 micron as well and be in good shape.do you have a boost/lift pump in line as well?
Cheers. I saw posting under the assumption that you're pushing 20psi and are pretty far from stock tuning. I'm sure the factory box is great if you're running a close to stock setup.
Yeah, I'd be in 100%. I'd put a deposit down in the right circumstances. I'd also love it if someone would fab a 4" snorkel so I can just get this over with. If I had the skills, I'd be all over this. I just can stomach $1800 all in to get this to me stateside.
My understanding (contrary to what I thought when I got my Safari) is that the Snorkel is the weakest link. It would be nice to have someone with a an absolute understanding chime in.
