Been a while but thought I would offer an update, after being a slack ass and forgetting to return the housing I borrowed I have decided to make these as I need one.
They will be 6061-T6, have screw in barbs. Depending on interest they will run $550 shipped in the lower 48 and $600 - $650...
s*** you are 100% correct, I completely forgot about that project after a bought a couple of new ones out of Japan and then went away for a while. I will ship it back to you today and post tracking sorry about that
if you are talking stock then I would expect it to slip the flywheel and clutch are smaller and the pressure plate was less pressure when i tested two new ones years ago, When we turbo 1 HZ we use to always change out to a HD unit as it was expected to slip
As said above the mounts are different but all the Blocks I have seen are the same and you can move mounts from one model to another .
I have pulled DYNA's and put them in LandCruisers same with Hiace which is what I am thinking a toyoace maybe in NZ :)
Not saying there arent potential...
3 hrs 24 mins to go , I hope I measured right ... it wouldn't have taken so long but I had to integrate the gauge mounts so it cleared the tinwork on the dash . Being it is curved also added to it since it needs some support to get the curve.
I am thinking I might have to go back to the tried-and-true option of putting them below the radio, after measuring it up and not wanting to cut stuff it I don't have to I think it should just fit if I remake the panel to reduce tolerances . Of course, that is to big for my s***ty little...
Needed to find a location for the Gauges on the BJ74 and with 3D printing being what it is these days I figured that is by far the quickest option to get something that looks factory. Fusion 360 is pretty much free so I used it to draw up a lower section pod that will hole Boost, Trans Temp and...
That would be cool if you have one I will send you a message
Yeah issue with these is that I doubt volume will ever be there to do a production run. If there is enough interest then for sure will get cheaper .
I quoted on one of these out of billet and it was around the $600 mark. I thought that was a bit high but now I actually need one I am thinking it may have to do.
What do people think ? To many $$$ ?
Interesting, whats the earliest rotary pump ? I have never seen a rotary pre 1982 and never seen a 13bt with a rotary in any market.
All the 3B II engines with the 1HZ style valve covers i have seen are rotary not inclined.
I always thought it was year, model and market but I came from the...
What is it actually doing ? You should find enough resources on here and people who know what they are doing to help you out. The 13Bt has pretty much the same pump as the earlier 3B before they went rotary. There isn't much to do on them and if you have a EGT and a few basic tools you can dial...
They were a 3BII as your calling it and as far as I know came in the 70's. They shared the same rotary pump and lines etc as the late 3B from he 40's but they still had the rounded covers. I got one out of a 1988 SWB 70
