I've owned a GX for 10 years and have a 2023 Tacoma. My 20 year old older GX is still a much quieter, more refined vehicle. Its been a really amazing truck and it's the only car/truck I've ever owned that I can without a doubt tell you I'll never sell.
I’d have to do some digging, it’s been a few years and it’s currently in winter storage. Yes, as far as I remember all the functions work except the clock and the outside temp I believe. I haven’t driven it since October so I’m not too sure.
How can a shop not see that you have one side that has negative toe and one side that has positive toe (both out by a lot) and that’s probably your issue over camber.
.30 toe on left front and -.30 on the front literally has your wheels pointing right. No wonder if wants to go that way. The...
I have a good ML amp I would’ve sold you for $200 if we had compatible year trucks. Also, yes, you could’ve done a Phoenix audio Tesla style screen. I have one in my ML equipped truck.
Yes, you’re referring to what most dealers have gone to now-a-days, and that’s the parts and service pricing matrix.
I don’t particularly agree with it but my name isn’t on the building so I just deal with it.
I’ve been in the business a long time and I’ve never worked at a store that would...
Good, I'm glad you got the issues taken care of. I made an edit to my post about CV boots. If it's a bad leak and it's been leaking for an unknown time, replace the axle. If its a small leak and the joint still has grease, re-boot it. I've had a NAPA premium axle in mine for 10 years, and my...
Theres a lot to unpack here in your very incorrect advice. I'll break it down as the resident toyota tech and OG GX owner, Tacoma owner, and FJ60 owner.
1- Your parking brake diag may be correct but don't forget the vehicle is in NY. Rust is a real contender and can make adjustments very...
Yes. All systems show OK. Weird additional fact I figured out- all the song titles that display with the radio presets are the same titles from when the radio stopped working last year. This issue is a doozy. I may just do a Tesla screen and be done with Nav/ML.
So the sound in my truck stopped working. You’re probably typing “replace the amp” right now. It’s not the amp. I swapped in a known good one. If I change the input to CD and crank it waaaay up, I can get a little tiny bit of sound from the speakers. Both radio fuses are good. Amp cooling fan...
Made some changes to the rear. Rear setup is now long travel with Dobinson 677’s, extended brake lines, and custom valved Radflo’s and resi’s.
I need to let the rear settle a bit and then make some coilover adjustments on the front.
I have what I would consider a much better quality mishimoto aluminum radiator in my FJ60 compared to the Chinese one here in question. I got 2 years and 3,000mi out of my first one before it started leaking, but they have lifetime warranties. Never in my life would I put an all aluminum...
