    1983 fuel system woes

I'm posting this for my uncle who has a 1983 Toyota long bed. It has about 100,000 miles and was a donated vehicle from Toyota to the Spokane Sheriffs office. The truck idles fine and will drive for some amount of time before dieing. At that point you have to wait and let it idle. Last...

Changed head gasket, truck wont start?

Did you have the head milled? Did you re-adjust the valve train to account for the change?

    1983 pickup going through ignitors

My uncle has a 1983 pickup that is really very stock, but it has recently gone through 4 Toyota ignitors. It runs great for about 500 miles then craps out. He carries a spare now. What sort of things could be causing this? Is there something wrong possibly with the power it is recieving...

    Got a free Buick V6

Find a supercharger and away you go! They are cheaper than you think, and easy to find and very reliable. I DD with a 3.8 SC and I love it! The 350 is a fine trans. Find a cheap shift kit for it and you'll be happy, until you need an overdrive.

How are the shifters different? Anyone with a top of transmission picture of both?

    1985 transmission options

4wd mini truck. There is a transmission that has a non-removable bell housing? I didn't know that.

    1985 transmission options

I've been out of the mini truck scene for some time now, but I'm working with a bone stock 1985 carbed short wheel base mini truck. The transmission has a bad bearing and there won't be time to take it out, rebuild it, and put it back. So, instead, I'm looking into buying a used...

    Time for an electric fan

I bought a Flex-a-lite Blackmagic from Summit. It was fine, but noisier than the stock fan. I never had a problem overheating. I noticed no powergain. If I was to do it again (which is impossible since I sold it) I would repair/replace the stock fan clutch. They just work better and with...

    89 pickup bumpers

Thanks. It only took 4 hours to make that bumper. I have a drawing of some 2" square tubing sliders someplace too. I don't have any pics though. I sold the truck last year, but now I have a Pig!

Two Piece Prop Shaft Centre Bearing

I went through two bearings on my old long bed. I had a custom one piece shaft made instead for the same price. Besides, I think the earlier trucks had a one piece, and so did the later (86+).

    1985 extra cab Q's

Just steer clear of NWOR stuff. I hated everyday with thier springs. Rode like a pogo stick. Plus, the leafs are so thick that it caused the leaf above to bend. Lifetime warranty my ass. They said it was my fault.
