as long as you have a water source (always do in the south east) I like this one, much more compact, I carry a nalgene bottle, soft bladder, spare ceramic and maintenance kit, in my pack.
I like the high reliability and field maintenance, catcheses everything but viruses so I would not use it...
Kurt, whats the difference between the M191240400X9 & M191242210X0 cords?
I found a Very old Norcold freezer only, model V2000, the DC plug looks to be the same as your pictures above, do both of those cords have the same plug end? does either have larger wire than the other? this old model...
the plate says 4.5 amps on 12v so that is not near as good as the new ones. it is a swing motor, not a rotary compressor though, just not as effecient as the new ones,
Need to measure it but it is pretty small,
you could probably get two gallon milkl jugs left to right but not frnt to back, I'll measure tonight.
EDit: the cooled portion is 10"H 10"D 14"W, 1,400 cubes makes it a 24 quart. (20 dry quart)
Found a small old (1980s?) Norcold at a Garage sale, guy did not know much about it but said it worked, missing the DC cord, he only wanted $20 so I took it, oddly it only has one control, an on/off switch.
Got it home and in fact it works a bit too well, when first plugged in and turned on...
Well I guess there are diffrent states of young, dumb & poor, when I was your age I was drivng a chevy with cracked tires, you were driving a Land Cruiser with cracked tires. that has to be progress. ;)
Any likeness to persons living or dead is entirely coincidental, unless otherwise noted...
When I was young dumb and poor I bought used tires, I would push them until they showed more than one belt or they failed, ushually at highway speeds. It did not take long until I avoided those dry rotted tires even if they had a lot of tread left as I never got through the remainng tread before...
I wore steel toe DM shoes at work, most comfortable steel toes shoes I have found, they required no break in, but my feet were already heavily calloused from other steel toe shoes/boots.
Just filled my 10#'er today for $22 at a welding supply place in Gainsville FL, I ushually get it filled at "O2+" in Carrolton for $12 but I am out of state and needed a fill.
both places seam competent in what they do.
This is more important than the battery, disconnect the battery if you want no harm in doing so but every electrical device in the truck is still attached to ground,
the main thing that keeps the electronics safe is that everything is happening on the ground side, the voltage across all...
is this the same tent from the long roof top tent thread? has anyone tried one of these in a subtropical down poor?
the price is very attractive but it does not look like it could hold up to much rain,if it can hold up in a tropical storm or cna be easily modified to do so I am going to get one.
I used a set of these for hauling ladders and tools on my 80 this summer. maybe 150 pounds? the quality is great, no complaints, I ordered just the feet and made my own cross bars
