I've got one. Can't recall the # no pics here. I've found advertisements but as far as Google knows mine is the only one in existence of this particular model.

General consensus is that new manufacture Coleman mantles are junk. If you want to can source some old Coleman mantles with trade name "Silk Lite" on eBay or wherever. Better yet pop on over to OldColemanParts.com and buy some Peerless brand mantles. Owner Mike is an awesome guy to deal...

Cast IRON skillets for camping trips

Probably a 100 year old 10" Wagner. The finish as cast is so much smoother than anything new. Much lighter too as the wall is a lot thinner.

Not to speak for @BHillteq but that one looks like the "newer" style but could be 20 years old. I've never seen a really old one in person but I think they have a diamond pattern and maybe some red? They look really cool and come up on the Bay every so often. I have the newer style and it...

I've probably got 100 lanterns - kero, nickel plated, some 100+ years old, Euro, etc - and my current go to is a ratty 1960's 200A. They just work and are overall awesome. Gonna run it for 7 nights next week camping in PA.

Old Wagner - Very smooth finish to start with. Something about how they used better sand back in the day.

    Only $261+tax: Massimo CX50 E-Kooler - Alternative to ARB

Per the manual this is adjustable. But I wouldn't go any shorter as I believe short cycling is detrimental to the compressor. Mine has been running in the dining room for several days. What I notice is a pretty good shudder when the compressor shuts off but you still hear the fan for a...

    Gasoline stoves?

Too bad shipping to Aus is such a b!tch. Coleman suitcase stoves are a dime a dozen here and can always be brought back to life cheaply.

X2. I hate this place :flipoff2: BTW reviewers on the Massimo site as well as Google Play Store say the Aplicool app works to control/monitor this.

If you have gasket punches you can make one from rubber sheet. If not you can buy at Oldcolemanparts.com. The owner is awesome. Otherwise eBay or similar. Be sure you specify the small cap. Small fill caps are rare and common between 500 stove and 242 lantern. Then you need the rare...

A40 is first quarter of 1940. Mine is B47. Mine fired on the fuel that was in it and is a great runner. I made a discada cooker to fit it.

    Engel mt45-u1 no longer cooling

Due to a dumba$$ move my MT45 tipped over in the truck bed while plugged in. Quit cooling and freaked me out a bit. Let it sit upright unplugged for awhile and it fixed itself.

    Chaco frame-off

My repair of delam Tevas is similar to Godwin's. Peel back as far as you dare, I scrub with a brass brush and acetone or laquer thinner. This roughens up the surface, cleans them and hopefully acts as an adhesion promoter. Then I use contact cement. Clamp overnight if possible.

I've never seen a date on a suitcase stove and I've looked at a lot. Some say to look at the tabs where it mounts to the stove body. John you have the two best lanterns Coleman made. 242s are absolute tanks and will never let you down but neither will a 200. I've been camping with an...
