I was doing that, but the plastic bracket eventually cracked from bouncing around. I did manage to glue it together and the fridge still seals, I think, but doesn't have that very audible "click" anymore when the latch is firmly closed. I picked up a couple of those bags that Phil originally...

We have that Coleman (or maybe a knock off, can't recall) and it's quite handy once set up for longer stays. It sets up fairly well, but folding it back up is always a pain in the ass as those expanding scissor bar/supports flex all over the place.

Saw these in another another forum; 12v fridges (and solar panels) that Costco is selling. Some pretty good deals on bundle packages on this "Unique" brand.

We recently did the same thing, 'cept it was a Craftsman model on sale at Rona. It works quite well, takes up less space than the gigantic action packer it was all in before, and it's organized!
I just stood on my sliders and the top of my rear tires when I had my tent on the roof (6'tall with 315's and OME suspension) . And say goodbye to departure angle with that hanging off the back.
I have a "life straw" that I picked up on clearance when a local camping store was going out of business. It takes up hardly any room, but I have yet to actually use it so can't add much more than that. They supposedly work well.
