U.S. Military surplus. Picked up a couple about 13 years ago for 10 bucks apeice. Use them about 50 nights a year. I added a thick sleeping pad to mine a few years a go . Helps a little.
I beg to differ,
Any and all Swiss military issue equipment I have ever used, or evaluated, was by far as good or better than other comparable gov. issue items of any country. They think out the design and purpose of their gear for the harshest enviroment and expected use.
Check out some old...
I've looked a couple over the last few years. Really simple design. I cant remember the name of it ,but there is a web site dedicated to Apache campers. Mostly old stuff on the site, but the company still makes tag-alongs.
I have had a Princton Tech "Predator Pro" for about 10years. Kinda fragile, kinda pricey when new. Would not recomend it. Although it has a lifetime warranty.(which I have used twice since I bought it).
Also Have a Wally-world 9 dollar el-cheepo. Its rubberized and a hell of a good deal. China...
Check the Cabelas catalog!
They have a very good set of covers that lace up the sides, have velcro to help tighten up the fit and also they have pockets on the back. Very well made, tuff duck type material, come in 4 different colors/patterns and less than 60 bucks for a set. Both my 40's as...
I have a 5-gallon bucket with the bottom cut out that I sit my Coleman lantern down in when I need to defuse some of its bright light. We redesigned the handle a little with an old metal coat hanger to clear the lanterns handle. I saw this idea at a hunting camp, works good. You can also drill...
X 2 on the Asolo brand. I bought two idenical pairs and they both have held up very well over the past few years. I alternate them out between walks and hikes here in the Smokys. Luv em
Just about any thing you buy from Cabelas will be very good quality and price efficient. Much better...
I've built 4 of those, one for myself and three for friends. And also built a smaller one for my four-wheeler. They are not hard to make. Take the picture to a local welding shop and get some cost estimates. But still, your looking at close to 50.00 bucks in material alone. I made mine out of...
I have noticed that wally-world has a few Colemans (15 ft) locked up outside every spring. Cheap, around a couple hundred bucks if my memory serves me. And they CAN! order any Coleman product if you can get the manager to work with you. The clerks probably will not know this. Cant go wrong with...
Leuopold Gold ring!
