@excessive last I was there (a couple years ago?) it was $100/hour versus $150 at the dealer. Is this still the case? $100/hour is a lot of beer to drink with money left over for new tools!
Lextech is top notch and has provided me with great service. There is always at least 1 cruiser parked there when I drive by and they have Yota/Lexus techs on staff. I would start there.
Also, Brad Baker at Import Auto Solutions knows his way around the 100 series and maybe other models...
Got an alert for an ‘85 FJ at the LKQ in North Charleston. Looks like the transmission is gone. I’ve attached a couple pictures. Hopefully someone can find something useful.
Interested in selling these wheels. Set of 5 steel Toyota 16x5.5 with 5x150 bolt pattern. They are split rim style and include have the tubes and tube guards to go along with them. I bought these on mud a little while back and am going a different direction with my wheels. I believe they...

Anyone familiar with this gem? Saw it at Royal American the other day and had to stop and take a peek.
I've never messed with the 2F but I've been playing with a 2 barrel carb on a Ford 351m ('78). My EGR plate was completely packed full of carbon. To the point where no air would flow. Cleaning that out (with a chisel lol) seemed to help smooth out my idle. It's also got a 2 stage choke that...
There's a pretty extensive thread on the quality difference of aftermarket vs OEM: 100 series Windshield Replacement Question: OEM vs. After Market Glass
I went down a rabbit hole and pretty much found out that the only aftermarket glass I could find was made in China and was manufactured to a...
@jeeprjames
Nope. I had the installer try to put in a claim for OEM, but it was denied. Allstate, SafeCo and Progressive all denied OEM claims. That was for my '99 LX. For my '13 GX OEM glass was approved. They must look at vehicle value. The GX also has a built in rain sensor that I...
I've had 4 windshields replaced on my '99 LX. 526 dump trucks every time...I always had Drew from glasspro in Mt. P. do it. He's very careful and knows his way around the 100. He even took time to grind out some rust and paint the surface for prevention and took pics of everything for me...
Hey guys,
I've been doing some trail riding and getting the undercarriage of the old LX covered in mud. Haven't really done a good job of cleaning it. It's a combination of some swampy mud from Ion swamp and also that red-clay mud from the Columbia area. I now have a pretty strong burning...
Interested to hear how this goes. I've got a '13 that's bone stock. Will need new tires soon. I found this thread when looking around. Sounds like minimal trimming/molding of fenders and liners and you're set.

I will throw out there that there are some great seat cover options out there. In hindsight I should have just gone this route for my truck because I'm about to order these for my front seats even after getting the upholstery done. My truck is a 330k hunt truck/boat puller so I beat it up and...
He ended up doing custom vinyl seat bottom replacements. He also added more foam under the seat which helped with comfort. Unfortunately the seat warmers don't really work well, but I don't miss them but one month out of the year.
I will say I'm not completely familiar with what an "L seat"...
I had a recommendation to go to Karen's Customizing INC in North Charleston. Ran into a hot rod shop trying to find the place and ended up having the guy there do my front seats on my LX. Guy did a bang up job and cut me a sweet deal compared to other quotes. Can't remember the name of the...
@mooker82 Right on. I've been eyeing them as well. If my 100 goes down i'm still up in the air on whether I'd go for a 200 or another 100. What's got you interested in the 200? Also see you have a '74 Bronco. Looks like it's in great shape! What motor is in it? I have a '78 F-150 with a...
@mooker82 That thing is sweet....I just can't justify the price tag. You could buy 2 Japanese diesels, an 80 and a 100 for that coin...and then have some cash leftover for a skiff haha
