I checked out these mogs this week:
Unimog U406 Cabrio Tractor Truck 4x4 Rock Crawler 20 speed
Case MB4/94 - Mercedes Benz Unimog U900 U406
The cabrio needs some axle work and tires but is in very good condition otherwise. The guy selling them is a good dude.
I picked up a new, more kid friendly, daily driver so this guy has been retired to the garage. It's still available if someone is looking for a well maintained VW for getting around. 3K obo or would be willing to trade for a 40 project.
Still looking for a buyer or trader on this thing. Some locals have expressed interest but it's not yet gone. I changed the oil this weekend and took it out in the nice weather...makes driving the LC really feel like a school-bus.
Yeah, these things are becoming more and more rare. People ask me about it almost every time I stop to get gas....they all say that they used to know someone with a Rabbit and how awesome it was to drive etc...I had one guy stop me on the highway last summer asking me if it was for sale.
well, here's what it looks like with a 20ft canoe on the roof:
Here's what it looked like on the day I bought it:
Here's what it looks like at the lake:
Here's a pic with the dog:
Yeah, I had a 2002 VW GTI that was the same way with misfiring...actually all of the coils were replaced on factory recall because of misfire issues.
Was this guy included in the recall?
Can you post some pics of this?
I take it this thing has a coil on each cylinder like the newer vw's ?
I have a kickass VW Rabbit GTI to trade:

and a M-416 that I restored last summer...
Got the rabbit out of the garage this weekend to get the juices flowing again. It hasn't been started since before Xmas break and it fired right up without hesitation. The thing is itching to be out on the highway again!!
