No doubt on all of that - the biggest issue I've had is Grom not holding onto the 'screen' during phone calls with AA. While it's good they finally allowed using the OEM BT connection (better mics), invariably the GROM ends up reverting to the OEM phone screen and unfortunately with AA and the...
Interesting - I have a 2010 LX, didn't think there were any changes between those years and I don't get any sense of capacitive, just a resistive screen.
For your sound issue have you checked iOS profiles and then the GROM system sound settings (main GROM screen-> menu in upper left), as well...
Interesting- good feedback on mismatched sizes. Didn't know about the recommended size differences. I'd been leaning toward the 285/75r18, so one size up from yours- and I guess a 'smaller' 35.
You happy with 34s?
Fair...that's what I've been doing, so would be getting a bit more out of this one.
You're right on the tire pulley- don't know if it was shop or what, but had one seize on me and replaced it. Definitely would have been worse in field.
I mean in the realm of 'stupid' - how horrible would it be to just keep one of my current 33s under there and then just replace the 4 and rotate them instead of all 5? Current tires still have a bit of tread, definitely aren't bald etc.
@tbisaacs How tight is the 295 in spare location? Looks like difference between these two sizes is actually pretty minimal (0.5" in diameter difference, so 0.25" on the radius)
Yeah, it's a thought, and your right on the fun of swing outs....I've already got OBA so adding air isn't a huge deal, but sometimes nice to have the over-inflated spare just in case.
I've also considered getting a non-matching spare and treating it as such...right now I rotate through all five.
I'm due for some new rubber and looking to up size my 33 Duratracs (275/70r18) to some of the new AT4Ws. I know 34s at 295/70r18 would be a slam dunk, but I'm tempted to go to 35s (285/75r18)- I see some folks saying 35s won't fit in the stock spare location so looking for some feedback on...
Well more digging to do, tried to do more diagnosis, but sound is gone....I'm thinking it may be related to excessive cold....luckily will have plenty of more opportunity to confirm that!
