    FRS (Walmart radios) are subset of the band and power of GMRS. So you can talk to people with those (possible benefit over HAM)

    I just applied for a license, looking at the Wouxun KG-935Gs. Seems like a nice handheld. Maybe a mobile for the land cruiser once i finish it.
