Puzzling electrical mystery: power comes back on...!

I would take a look at a sqD hom breaker panel and see if it would dimensionally fit. as most bryant panel breakers interchange with HOM style breakers. May not be liked by some but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Stihl 026 piston hitting cylinder. Paging Chainsaw King D'Animal.

I would sure bet on the piston rocking notice how the marks are and where they are not. Indicates it is rocking in the direction but not the other. A gasket would smack the top all the way across. possibly not even rotate. A rocker will run and knock like a old model T

Stihl 026 piston hitting cylinder. Paging Chainsaw King D'Animal.

Something must be loose, How old is this saw? You say you checked and there is no slop in the crank or rod bearings and the wrist pin was tight this is strange. The pistons don't stretch that I have ever seen. On the exhaust side there is a screen and nothing came in that direction? Nothing that...

Plus if I am not mistaken that flywheel is easier removed using the screw on knocker on the shaft to prevent the breakage problems.

Skool me on home sprinkler systems

1" is my choice for the mains then for the laterals they can be reduced down to 1/2" pvc or black flex tubing 700 -710 size and the quick connect fittings. From there you can poke holes for side feeds that only require a dripper with 1/4" tubing. The evergreens will require more water than a...

    Plumbing: Propane or MAPP?

I would go with a MAPP gas unit they are not that expensive. They have other benefits from soldering heavy lug cables and roasting hot dogs.

    aaargh... garage flooded... water heater

Wow a lot of others have made it before I could make it back and it appears we are all on the same page. Cut your losses and get another unit. Some codes require a enclosed lower platform to prevent gas fumes from collecting under and creating a place that can go boom. But get another and...

    aaargh... garage flooded... water heater

You might get away with a tack there but I would just about bet there are more or will be. You can do a slight pressure test on the tank and soap bubbles or watch the gauge cap off the 2 lines on top but be cautious as things will go boom if two much pressure is applied. (I don't suggest...

    aaargh... garage flooded... water heater

I would think a 50 gal would be more than enough. Dielectric nipple is on the side the valve is on. I take it is gas with the exhaust flue pipe. it does evacuate the exhaust for the gas burner.

    aaargh... garage flooded... water heater

Yes that old it is toast, I would suggest replacing the gate valve on top with 1/4 turn ball valve plus the dielectric coupler. Threaded fittings instead of sweat. When mine went out it took out the base, I fabbed up a 1" sq tube stand with galvy metal top for a replacement.

We are using the white rodgers brand t stats available through grainger. The state has mandated specific settings in there buildings. we program the high and low in and then lock it. The person in that office/building can override for say a hour then it reverts back. It can be shut off but the...

Another would be at the controller there are wires for each valve disconnect each circuit until you only have the bad one left attached...
