I've used Fabreze before with ... interesting results. It works, don't get me wrong, but it's kind of odd for a few hours.
To really clean it, strip it... pull the carpet, clean the floors, really clean the carpet and the pad, reassemble.
Som bad info here. LC 9.5" FF's are stronger than Dana 44's... by quite a bit. Housing isn't as strong as a D60, but I could argue all day long that shafts/diff size of the LC 9.5" FF against that D44 comment...
This is also false. 8" doesn't have anything to do with mileage, unless you're...

I'd go with a 99 or newer, only because I like the dash and center console better. :)
My favorite was my old 96. Every time I see that truck (sold to a buddy), I get pissed off at myself. Picked up a very high mileage 99 Limited. It needs more work than I thought it would, but I'm looking forward to getting a few things done and making it my DD. I prefer the 99-00 models myself...

I get 10.8-11.5 towing my 89 4Runner on an 18" car trailer (about 6300#) w/ my 06... did better w/ my 04. Towing anything over 3500# should be done only with a weight distributing hitch.
7K# is over the rating...
