Welcome to my world.
I have not figured out how to take pics from my phone, transfer to my desktop, then post on MUD
I'm a Boomer.
But thankyou
My food don't need pics, as I'm into flavors and not looks, like my wimmins
Last night was chicken soup, from scratch.
Leftover Cornish Game Hens,, and a little of this and that, Cream of Mushroom Soup,
Sauteed onions and garlic, and a can of French cut green beans, and garlic bread sticks.
Boom, over and done with.
Spiral Ham with some sort of glaze, green bean casserole, Hawaiian rolls and scalloped potatoes.
Nice and basic for the family, and good for leftovers.
To really get good results on a tri tip, you need to grill it Santa Maria style.
Over a flame and no cover/grill lid.
If I am up on my game, then it will take about 3 hrs.
That is the BEST kind of satisfaction on a meal that has been well made.
KUDOS sir.
I always try to feed my 2 boys and their friends when they are over.
Well, the wife is baking a triple batch of bannama bread and asked me to make potato soup.
So. potatoes ready, leeks and onions ready for sautee, bacon cooked n rendered for sautee.
Blender is out with chicken broth, and just pulled 3 little rib eyes off the grill to be cut up and go in...
Broke down a rack of Aus. lamb last evening and marinaded them in a local Basque sauce.
Grilled them to med. Looked like little lamb pops. Served with my oldest sons homemade mashed potatoes.
Ah, it is that time of year again fellas,
Post up your successful creations, we have already hit chili Colorado, Navy beans and ham hocks,
and if we get some rain, it will be a potato and leek soup, or a smoked chicken tortilla soup.
Well, gonna try and get back into the game this evening.
Thin cut rib eyes 1/4" or so for a quick grill and french frites on the side.
Actually a old French dish favorite. The French version is pan fried steak. And follow with something else I haven't figgered out yet.
