   Update... After chasing down some blind alleys (including swapping the transmission wiring harness), I believe I have isolated the issue. Fuel gauge never moves off the empty pin. Disconnected the cannon plug between the back of the transmission wiring harness and the fuel tank. Ohmed the 2...

   (FIXED) BJ75 Troopy, swapped transmissions, now fuel gauge dead

   1985 BJ75 Troopy with H55 and vacuum split case. Removed H55 and case and replaced with 1987 H55 and manual split case from a BJ75 Troopy. I failed to pay any attention to the plugs when I removed the trans. I figured it would be impossible to get them wrong. Nope. Fuel gauge not working...
