I would bet if you would just drive it for a couple of miles it would be fine. Good luck at the match tomorrow you make some nice rifles.

I had an issue with a new clutch plate was sticking to the flywheel (I think it was a tad too large of diameter) It would not disengage so I just started it in gear and took it for a drive and it loosened up and worked fine for years.

Yes your assumption is correct. I can't check the wires colors my 40 is buried in storage now.

Years ago when I got my top the handle had been repaired by a small plate bolted to that broken part holding them together.

Maybe try an old school radiator repair shop. They might be able to clean and repair it.

Short piece of speedo cable works well on a drill motor to rooter the pick up tube.

I had the rubber hose from the fill to tank connection start flaking rubber into the tank and would plug the suction tube.

Yea that fuel tube is just a tube with a 90 deg bend and straight down to about 1/4" from bottom with no screen. Blow air and clear it out. You can pull the tank and clean it out with soap & water or what ever.

The oil pressure sensor is interchangeable. The temperature I don't think so. I used my original temp sensor.

Wow now I know what those 2 wires were for 😂 Just beware that 1 is hot when key is on. The nuts on the wiper arms you can get from McMaster Carr. I looked and my purchase history is gone they are a knurled type and a little larger than stock.

Mine would not switch, after spraying it with contact cleaner it works fine. Not worth rat holing that part to me.
