Hey I'm south bay as well and am a couple weeks away from doing a pressurized leak test. I've already used the standard smoker but I'm guessing my 'lean under low boost' problem resulting in pings is caused by a leak I need pressure to find.

I did the shift kit on 'truck' and think if I had it a part again I'd step it up one more. Going to twist the knob and see what that does though first.

Do you use OnShape? https://cad.onshape.com/documents/bdaa655f7d57002fadb03d81/w/fd6b9a378441d6381679ef49/e/0f161daaab236c1fb1f10d45 This was for PETG so I made it thick. When I cut it from metal I just used 3/16" steel. I also enlarged every hole just a nudge for clearance because these are...

That makes sense. I think I'll monitor and see how adding a valve right at the manifold helps. I also went down this path because I was noticing oil seeping out of the breather/intake hose connection, so I was definitely pulling oil that direction. Also, for the purists, I did have to mess with...

These are Radium Engineering cans, same as what CJK just ordered up. I’m on the road, currently Utah, but will check for oil pooling when I get a sec and report back. Based on this discussion I may swap the hoses on the passenger can, though Radium’s instructions say you can plumb them either...

For what it’s worth, here are two Radium catch cans plumbed. I have probably 2000 miles on them now I’m this configuration. A simple L bracket just stands on an empty fender bolt, and if you whistle out the holes on the Radium bracket provided they actually line up to the Charcoal canister...

Yep, just talked to Joey. Sounds like injector time. Thanks.

Got it. Yep, I'm stock MAF and injectors still.

Checking back in. I've pumped tons of smoke through intake/exhaust and there are no leaks anywhere. I've swapped in a new evap can (yay no more pressurized tank), 2 knock sensors (though the ones I pulled out passed the FSM continuity test), new fuel pressure regulator as well. The fuel filter...

Awesome, thank you both. I've got a long weekend of diagnostics up ahead it sounds like.

Thanks, I'm stuffing the AC Delco can in for now and will honestly just run that until it seems like it's giving me problems likely. I'm not sure what you mean by long term fuel trim. On leak testing...I'm also wondering if they'll show up with the motor off, or just under boost. I'm not sure...

Yep. We jumped the diagnostic connector before setting. They’re definitely the original knock sensors.

    It’s a good question. Yes I am.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some ideas of where I should start my diagnostic. Just got my turbo all up and running, I also installed a Speedhut AFR and boost gauges. I've done a decent amount of PM and this truck has sub 100k miles on it. Set my timing at idle to 3 degrees and when i get into...
