Yowza! You could try starting with replacing the cap and rotor but those internals look awful.

Yes! Excellent point. I've got to open the panel back up again and replace all the trim panel clips with the right ones. While I'm in there, I will be adding sound deadening and will secure the wires. BTW, so I didn't have to remove connections from each panel device (45A, cig, USB, fridge...

I built two panels behind my passenger side interior panel in the back. 4AWG to distribution blocks to feed 45A connectors, cigarette port, usb, a remote controlled relay, and a 50A anderson connector. I wanted to keep and OEM look. I plan to move my fuse block and remote controlled relay to...

@fourtrax has that 4 footlong 3/4" breaker bar IF you need it.

Did you apply RTV or silicone to the ends of the lightbar and properly tighten all the allen screws on the front? Most of these chinese lightbars fail due to water intrusion.

At the same time, I've had sticking calipers. I didn't discover them until I was on a trip to Hurricane Creek with you coming down those twisty mountain gravel roads and noticed I had a lot less braking power. When we stopped at the bottom, my rear wheels were HOT.

Don't suck on the breather with your mouth like I did to check it.

Seriously forever. They weren't hot after 100+ miles at 70mph average.

My booster was failing in two different ways: Most of the time, it was a soft pedal with lots of throw before engagement. This didn't inspire confidence in regular braking but could be mitigated. The other failure type was immediate hard pedal with no braking or slowing down. This was scary...

I rebuilt my front axle recently and my rear axle in 2018. We drove the Cruiser to the beach on Tuesday and during one of the stops for gas I checked the hubs for heat. Front and rear were warm but not hot and completely inline with my expectations. I've got new bearings and spindles (thanks...

For around here, a cheap Amazon lightbar does well. The narrow, tight trails with lots of trees would be pretty awful to navigate with driving lights. I have two light bars on the ARB: a small 7" lightbar with an amber filter and a 25" lightbar mounted upside down on the top mounts. I would...

Yeap! This is it. I was three rotations from being bottomed out and I had 1 foot of dead zone in the steering wheel after I reinstalled everything. I pulled the box off again, tightened the bearing all the way down and then reinstalled. Adjusting the screw on top was the final step and it...

Extend your axle breather lines and put a lawn mower fuel filter on the end. The OEM breathers get filled with junk and hot/cold fluctuations cause the pinion to leak. Mine was leaking and I figured I would have to replace the pinion seal to fix it. I found a post on MUD about replacing...

If it is fully assembled, you might try backing off the adjusting screw on the top essentially keeping it loose for now. FSM states 40mm of play in the steering wheel.

The preload nut controls bearing preload. I spun my preload nut and lock ring down to my marks and reassembled. I didn't realize I needed to keep spinning the preload nut two or three more times before it was truly tight. I had a fully 70* to 80* degrees of play in the steering wheel after it...

I rent tools from O'reillys, Advanced, and Autozone. Some are clearly abused but some are brand new. Doesn't cost anything out of pocket.
