That must be turbo damage from frame twisting and wheely :poop:, still possible to patch, I just heard I have to weld the other side of the spring, afraid to poke the side you show above :worms:
Frame is made to tow 5000 kilo, still a lot of strength left.
some mentioned a problem with rear cargo light and door lights as they have 24/7 power, there is so much stuff.
Yours drains pretty quick, could be bad below 12 is one broken cell, might try disconnect them when not driving? one bad makes the other bad seems right assumption.

Congratulations for getting it all working, very nice and that sound is awesome, all landcruisers should have a turbo from the factory.
For the temp my HJ does the same because it has to work uphill but it wont kill itself, just dont get the gears to high and smother it?
The cad and turbo looks very nice! hope you get it running soon.
I had to use 1st gear uphill 14% with boat trailer (total 3500 kg I think = 1 horse for 35 kg) but afraid for turbo $ and work, to much work already to keep it road legal :wrench::wrench::wrench:
I will reinstall the turbo whistle...
Very nice, looks wel serviced and clean, they were not sold over here. It looks like a 60.
@lovetoski My HJ is fine in the slow lane, you can rev it till it bursts and then go to the next gear until it slows down and lower one gear again and keep on doing that or just use a steady gear...
Not replacing that rod?, the others can have damage to, mostly not visible only measure. Might do it later from below when engine is in?

Nice work, sorry it did not help completely.
If it runs fine the smoke is not that bad, so I think if you want to drive another year no problem.

Good result, Thanks a lot for the pictures, mine is fine with 280.000 km but this seems something every diesel gets.

HJ is a lot of fun, congratulations big time, injectors are no need if it does not smoke, should be fine for 200k more, mine is at 250k kilometers and when it starts smoking at acceleration above 3000rpm it needs new oil and it loves 20w50, no smoke, fast oil pressure, silent.
Upgrading is cool...
