Those look exactly like the holley ones I have too..
All black everything under the hood. Its the only way. I was trying to find someone to Black anodize my radiator and shroud but no one locally in Memphis could do it because it was too big
Oh yeah, on my firstgen 4runner I cut the rod to be about 6 inches to a foot off of the LSPV and disconnected the side from the axle and threw it away. I used an adjustable turnbuckle with an eyelet on one end and a jaw on the other to make it adjustable. I basically drilled a hole in the...
The round one with the gold ring in the second photo should not sit flush, it has a lip and you tuck a rubber dust boot unrer the lip if i remember correctly. The rod that goes through the boot is for the 2wd-4wd lever arm and has a little square notch cut out of it.

While youre bearing shopping, go ahead and pull the bearing from your AC tensioner and replace it with with a Timken. Idc if its a brand new AC delco. The bearing in it will last about 3 months before it squeaks. The Nachi one squeaks after about a year. So far so good on the timken. Nothing...

Good lord. What a bad break. At least you caught it while it’s still out and in your garage and not on the test drive! There’s no better time than now to rebuild it. Pulling the cam is actually not too bad with the wooden dowel method. Worth it to get a look see
Get some dry ice and iso alcohol from the grocery store and use that to get the toyota spray on stuff off, it should harden and crack off. It works for the crappy sound deadening nissan uses so should work for what toyota uses.
I think the lizard skin is meant to have 2 coats, one of the heat...
The carpet looks freaking amazing, I really need to do this to mine. Nice tools haha I have those same picks and knipex crimps
I think the more impressive thing here is that you somehow got your wife to work on the truck. When i ask mine she just laughs at me and goes back inside the house
The wiring harness in the engine bay can be trimmed down quite a bit. I tied into my AC and ignition system, kept the headlights and marker lights and everything. I kept the fusible link for added protection, but that one is looking pretty rough like you said. I think @ToyotaMatt sells new ones...
