I just saw the pic that shows the wheel studs welded to the carrier.
In retrospect it may be better to just press the studs and not weld them. My Slee came with three pressed studs and 3 open holes. I pressed in three more studs. Now I have a bunch of spare studs and lug nuts always on the truck...
The body/frame on that truck are very nice original condition. I would not do the full blown deal unless I planned to never drive it again. He's not gonna do that. I don't think....
