Only recommendation I have is to support the pivot point a little more. Mine has a touch of movement in it and it’s gusseted a little more than yours.
Cut the basket down by 16” on the driver side. Gives me 36” inside. Also braced it a little with the left over pieces.
Maybe saved 2lbs, but made it more solid by welding it up.
Also I hate welding thin chit with paint on it. I left my wire wheel at home.

Actually it’s hard to see it but the tire pulls tight against the bar the last 1/4” of the wheel studs.
I was hoping to haunt some rigidity for the same reason you say.
