    If you plan to run 315’s, sticking with the stock wheels is a good plan. They are sweet looking and quite tough per my experience. But if you plan to do rock crawling it would be best to get wheels more suited to that because you’ll just beat them up until they have no value to anyone else...

    All of this depends on how you intend to use the vehicle. If you will actually use it off road and cycle the suspension through its full range then, yes, do all these things you listed. You may also need to change the drive shaft over to a double cardan style (DC).

    3” lift will handle 315’s no problem. You may need to drop the rear bump stops an inch or two. Did you mean to say that you want to keep the 16” factory wheels? If so, you’ll be looking at 315’s not tires with the flotation size designation of 35 as I believe all 35’s use a 17” and larger...
