You can ask the tire shop for the rubber stems they use with load range E tires that run higher pressures like on HD pick-ups. Those valve stems are considerably thicker walled nd should tougher.
I’ve worked big airplanes for “many years”, cracks will happen no matter the engineering effort. All materials we build with flex. Flex is necessary and the reason cracks appear and the reason magnifying glasses will endure.
Glad that you are happy again but I’m not understanding why you went to part time to fix a faulty actuator. It’s called a center differential lock but the differential never actually locked like in the axle diff.

You beat me to it.... gussets on either side of the main pedestal angled rear bottom to forward facing edge of pedestal at the top of the gusset maybe 8” high.
