I guess you have never made the mistake in trusting others that are supposed to be the best at what they do. I agree with your statement but humans make mistakes and bad decisions every day and not everyone is perfect. I try hard to do things the right way in every aspect of life and learn new...

I believe the trans cooler in the stock radiator must be a bit more efficient than the one inside my Ron Davis. They are going to send me a drawing tomorrow and that will probably answer that question.

I am going to put a 24 x 12 x 1" trans cooler between the radiator and the ac condensor. This is the only place I have room for something this large due to the oil cooler and spal fan sitting in front of my rad now. I plan to run the lines from the trans through the trans cooler first and then...

Calling all V8 Swappers. Anyone monitor their trans temps closely? Living in AZ and driving up and down hills everyday as well as trips up north with a trailer have revealed some interesting numbers. Ron Davis radiators told me to pass the trans cooling lines through their radiator and I...

I am pleasantly surprised how nice my lifted 80 drives. The Slee control arms made the biggest impact on how confident I am with the handling of my cruiser. Basically all the suspension on mine is new and it drives really nice. Anyone that wants to see what a properly aligned lifted 80 drives...

Bloc pretty much covered everything and he has as much knowledgeable as anyone on this forum when it comes to these swaps since he actually put the hours and hard work to make his happen. As for the bigger and better brake system I am waiting for these. New Keyed Steering Knuckles!!!

Ali M, My motor and trans have over 4,000 miles logged and they both have performed flawlessly. My cruiser drives like a brand new factory cruiser would if it came with an LS3. I am very happy with my swap. As for the brakes I swapped out the rotors for the DBA set up with 100 pads up front...

Ali M I believe there are many better options out there if you want a little less power and better mpg and if you want to save a lot of money on the swap. I don't regret my decision but I would look closely at a 5.3 or 6.0 or a 6.2 from a truck or escalade that would include the transmission and...

I am running a tap shift set up on my LS3 swap. I have found that tow / haul mode is not needed for my application. I have towed up the mountain passes a few times now and find that if I just tap shift and hold what ever gear I want until I am done with the hill it works out perfectly. With my...

You are correct on the LS3 cam profile. This is part of the reason your MPG is so good. I am shifting around 6300-6500 RPM. Glad to see your rig running strong.

I am running the E67 ECM. I believe the EROD package included the parts to make this work. It looks like it runs from the EVAP canister purge across the front of the motor to a GM Connector that has a pressure sensor then to the throttle body. Here are some pictures.

I am running the stock tank with an internal Supra Fuel pump. All of the factory Toyota EVAP remains untouched except for where it connects to the new motor.
