    Well most re use the factory sender, I have found over time they become less and less accurate, Millage particularly has an effect on it. Mine at warm idle the needle is just below the second line, cold idle it's just above the 2nd to last line. Sender has 300k kms on it.

    It reads higher because the Cummins operates at a higher oil pressure. I have used the stock Toyota sending unit on two swaps with zero issues.

    Well like I have said before this thread is not the place for general questions. It's a place for the listing of swaps and the information about it. I would start a thread in the diesel and 24volt section with specific questions.

    Put the 1fz sending unit in place of the 12ht one and it will work. Likely the senders are different ranges.

    Both options are viable. Issues you will run into off the battery is lack of support. Secondly I know both vehicles have multiple ecu's for the engine, transmission, airbags, climate controle can bus guage ect. Issue is they usually all need to be connected and working for the engine to operate...

    Same goes for most if not all swapped 95-97 land cruisers. Who wants a computer controlled diesel..... Spfff

    1. 1997 Lexus LX450 2. 1987 Isuzu 4BD1T out of an NPR, A440f out of a 91-92 FJ80, custom adapter lower stall converter. 3. Overall it went very smoothly, lots of research and people before me made it easy. 4. The adapter took much longer than planned and delayed the swap by about 4 months...
