   Truck doesn't have struts, I'd be concerned about the shop if that's what they're telling you. Also when you say you're suspension is going out, that's a broad statement too. Miles and year of your truck? If higher miles, may just need new shocks, OEM is a great and inexpensive solution...

   Control arm isn't something replaced typically in a lift. I'd narrow down what the something is that's loose - upper? lower? bushing? ball joint?
