So long as pedal is adjusted correct, I’d bet there’s still air in there. I’m front disc, rear drum with the manual non-abs 80 series master and I can lock all 4 up with a hard stomp. I have my rears hooked to the front port on the master. There’s debate about this but that’s how mine is.

Don’t want to hijack but do you have a vacuum booster on your brakes? If so, did you adjust the pushrod?

I’m too lazy to read back to see if you posted it, but what’s the fan shroud issue? Is the fan too big, shroud need moved, etc? My 1970 has the F engine but I’m running a 6 blade plastic fan with stock F shroud and no issues. I have a GMB (I think) water pump with no spacer to run the fan. I...

My parking brake cable worked with the 4 speed swap. It doesn’t have much slack but not tight enough that I’m concerned about it.

The clutch in my FJ60 is an Autozone clutch. The diaphragm and clutch disc are both stamped teq, even though they came in a duralast box. I think cityracer was out of stock when I ordered it? (Or cruiser outfitted, can’t remember). Either way, price was about the same and I would’ve ordered from...

Hopefully something that goes between the top plate and trans too….. (Unless that’s the part you’re talking about)

@red66toy has a good recent write up in his thread rebuilding the 4 speed and what pullers he used to get at the bearings. Worth a read if you haven’t already read it.

Missing water pump bolts could be from the brackets that use them for air pump? Anyhow, good find! You won’t regret the 4 on the tree….

Did you keep the 3 speed tranny? The bellhousing is transmission dependent. The clutch setup doesn’t care what motor or bellhousing or trans it is, just that all clutch parts match: flywheel, clutch, throw out bearing/retainer and clutch fork all need to be either for 3 finger style or...

I made myself a rule I follow. (I try really hard anyway). No posting after 2 drinks and no online shopping after 3. Now that’s out of the way I can go have a beer….

Mine is 10/69 and I have them. I think there was a change right in there but I can’t remember.

I know nothing about this setup or what he wants or shipping to you…. But saw this ad and thought of you today. Maybe we can organize a cross country mud relay to get this stuff to you….. https://yakima.craigslist.org/pts/d/selah-1f-f145-fj40-fj25-toyota-land/7639005994.html

Lookin good! For the back panel, I used some black door edge guard or something off Amazon so the sharper metal edge didn’t wear a hole in the seat cover. Wasn’t this exactly but something like it. Rubber U Channel Edge Trim, Door Edge Guard Seal Strip, Rubber Edge Trim, Fits Edge up to 0.08...

Here’s the hog rings I used (Amazon special). Top one is what came with cruiser corps covers and bottom one is what I bought. Either worked equally well. Don’t forget your listing wire!

Usually 3-6 weeks. Last set I did took a lot longer but I got the feeling the order got “lost” or something. I used the hog rings they supplied, can’t remember what size but I’ll look it up because I bought additional. I used the harbor freight hog ring pliers. They aren’t great but for the...

Let’s see if this works…. Here’s the link to where I did my covers in my 1970. Not that I did it right, but I’m happy with the result. Post in thread 'Skreddy’s 70 Non-Resto' Builds - Skreddy’s 70 Non-Resto - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/skreddys-70-non-resto.1267834/post-14234331 Starts...

I just got foam from a local fabric store. I wrapped burlap over the springs, foam over that, then a thin layer of poly-fill batting over that (mimicking jute batting kind of), then the covers.

Did you order seat covers yet? Cruiser Corps is a couple hundred bucks less than SOR, not to mention what shipping would be. I’ve never used the SOR covers. I have done 3 sets of Cruiser Corps covers and have been mostly happy with all 3 (2 benches and a set of buckets, plus rear jumps). The...

One product I use a lot is Ospho. It’s a phosphoric acid spray that neutralizes rust. You can spray it on and leave it or paint over it or fluid film over it. I’ve scrubbed with CLR, then sprayed the Ospho on my couple little rust spots and left it, respray Ospho every 4-6 months when I think...
