Mocking up my trans and engine. This, right now, is my front driveshaft/oil pan clearance. I havent had much luck creating more space there. How much more room do you guys think is necessary to prevent any rubbing?
I’m installing a shifter out of a (I think) 94’ cruiser, because of the extra shift you get with them. It seems there’s no stopper in between D and 3rd gear though. Can’t you accidentally shift into 3rd going 70mph?
So I think I understand this but just to be clear I'm checking in here. I'm working on wiring up the oil pressure sender on my 5.3 LM7 swap. The diagram I posted shows that the white wire comes straight from the combination meter and the brown wire is volatage. You cant see from the image but I...
To all LS swap guys who used the original truck intake!
I mocked up the motor today and bolted it in using the original bolt holes on the crossmember to to see what was going on. The motor is a little crooked, I believe the bolt holes need to be moved to the passenger side to account for that...
I have the wiring harness on the bench now. It's not a specific set up just for testing the PCM but how I have it wired, it seems like it should be working.
Correct
It was purple because it came from a splice where the BCM serial data connected to the ECM serial data. I'm just using the green wire straight from the ECU to OBDII, cutting out the BCM serial data.
Shot in the dark but for those of you that have reworked your wiring harness:
I can’t connect to my ECM via HP tuners or even with a normal scanner. I double checked and ohmed out Blue 58 serial data to OBDII port and have continuity. I have my 3 grounds going to the negative terminal and have...
I remember seeing a post somewhere and couldn't find it in my notes on where, so I apologize to bring up something old. I'm curious how you guys are wiring up your a/c. I've also read there might be an issue with running electric fans at the same time as the a/c? I'm asking because I'm getting...
Started getting into wiring this weekend. Where did ya'll put your ECM's? I'm thinking it needs to go on the passenger side but I think then I'll have to shorten and lengthen some wires for it to come out that way when I rework this in.
So the 4L60E I bought didnt come with a torque converter. I'm also having trouble finding one online even through car-part.com. Any suggestions on a brand or more specificaly a stall? Putting the filter of a 05 Pontiac GTO with the 6.0 liter on summit racing gave me a cheapest option of 800...
Yea, thats what I thought. I have a 95. I have an EWD and a FSM. I need to work out a couple more things on the motor and tranny before I start the swap. I have a crap ton of vacation days saved up so I might just take a week off work in the next couple months to try and get everything done. I'm...
I don't want to ask anything specific but I figured that the ECM for the land cruiser would all together be removed but the BCM needed to stay in tact. Besides oil pressure, water temp, speedo and RPM wires going to the dash what needs to be kept on the ECU? Again, I dont mean to get specific...
