    Living in MN, is hardly extreme sub-zero F. temps, but if it is below +35F, it gets plugged in, it does help, and does make a difference..'96 Cummins/dodge dually. Yes, I have started the truck, not plugged in at minus 33F, only because I did not have access to electricity where I was staying...

    Not aware of a HP rating from the factory, that the rotory pump would not put out on the 4B, necessitating the inline bosch, or other make pump.
