It is a BJ70-MR which is the a designation for the "standard" specification BJ70. I would not get a BJ and look for an HZJ70 in a soft top as that will have the 1HZ/H55/split case combo as well as the factory soft top. It will be newer with a better engine. Knowing what I know now, I would...

Understanding model numbers and chassis designations has nothing to do with a registration thread. Not even tangential.

Can we have this conversation someplace else? Start another thread. Thanks.

Larry doesn't get into ATL. I do. ;) There are actually at least 6 other 7x trucks in metro ATL that are not MUD members not including mine and Larry's.

So when is the gathering Charles? I have a lot going on in the fall. Would love to put aside some dates. Maybe we can convince the old bald man from ABQ to join us as well. ;)

They would do nothing but laugh at us. Toyota will never bring the 7x into the U.S. Market. Never.

Buy 6, crash 5, do all necessary adjustments to the one and you are good to go. Or, pay someone to take apart one in Dubai, containerize it as parts, then get your self a 80 series rolling chassis and reassemble body on top. Register as an 80 series. All wear components are readily available.

Wow. I hope everyone was ok. Wheeling a SWB truck is indeed way different than a wagon or L version truck. Not the first one to roll recently.
