   Anyone know where to find pics of what this is supposed to look like?

   It looks like your seal is still there. The little thumbtack looking things hold it in place. In the image of the seal you can see it has 3 small holes in it. You can probably find some pics in the classifieds searching for hardtop and hardtop brace.
