Lol.....the wing nut is period correct, but just in a different spot ;)
Did the same on the 40 and 60.
Not sure why Mr T went with the nut, maybe to make sure the carb was well sealed, most will crank down the nut easier(because you need to put a wrench on it) than the wing nut....maybe.
at some point when you own enough cruisers........you will be able to open and start any Toyota from the 70-80's........there are very few different key cuts, I want to say around 30-40.
we bought a 77 fj40 last year......with no keys, door opened with fj60 key, motor started with 82 fj40...
window washer hose
check valve for headlight washers(one of mine went out last week)
new dip stick.......so nice to have one that seals snug and its easier to read than the old one and also much thicker. (and yes it the same size and marked the same) application is 3FE I think. I just checked...
yes, these guys do. but its about 2x the price of WTOR.
They did my 82 FJ40 PS box rebuild and I talked to them 6 months ago about the 60 box. ask for Harvey or Blaine(I think)
RedHead Steering Gears - Manual & Power Steering Gear Box
I recently put one of those carpet dash covers on my 60, always thought they were cheesy but I love the darn thing.....I can now throw stuff on my dash without it sliding off. Wish I would have done it years ago, my dash just starting getting a crack, would have saved it for sure. I added more...
I think how this box is marked may partially explain why the pads are back. these are the rear shoes I got the same time as pads. Maybe they are have been marked like this before and I never noticed
Fyi, front brake pads are not gone, got 2 sets a few weeks ago. Oddly the rear shoes were marked on box EU 70 series, came with instructions in 100 languages....all but English
Rear mud flaps, ordered 2 sets monday, got them yesterday
while at 1st glance the brake pads being killed off does not seem like a biggy........but its my feeling everything up stream of the pads is going to be killed off.........
so you take your 60 into the dealer for brakes..........what the hell does the dealer do? order them from Rock Auto...
