Nice! I've never been north of Tillamook, I hope to get up there and do some camping-surfing-kayaking... I have never done the clam thing... I know they are out there...
Nice work. I have been thinking about my turbo upgrade and inter cooler install. I am leaning towards a custom exhaust manifold and was hoping to find an exhaust flange precut but no one is making them anymore. I thought about doing a chopped 6bt but it won't put my turbo where I want it...
Beautiful! I had some custom milling done and was surprised how much the log bowed
So the guy kept flipping it over so I didn't end up with a bunch of wedges!
Don't waste your time on punky wood- when it dries the bugs go nuts in it, especially the carpenter bees

Most of the wood framing on houses/commercial here in Oregon is green doug fir, some times it's so wet it splashes!
Usually the box stores sell kiln dried Hemlock fir. I've found that the bugs liked the home milled wood better than commercial doug fir lumber- I think that it didn't get milled...
Yeah, building materials are nuts right now. A lot of yards don't allow picking, some yards Will let you sort on smaller loads. If you order a bunch of stuff delivered, good luck as a homeowner vs. a contractor who does a lot of business with them..
Looking Good!
I take my alternators to a local shop and they test/rebuild, sell me parts if I feel like fixing it. Using ground for a return path always messes with my electrician brain..
I got to see this rig in person and it made me miss my fj60! You do nice work. Here is a picture of my airbox..l don't know if Donaldson still makes a metal one. The filter is huge. I modified the intake to clamp up to the stock 80 fender doo-dad. It probably restricts the air but seems to work...
Heavy current draws, deep discharge and extreme temperatures reduce battery life. I am running one Interstate AGM and have had zero issues with cold weather starts and no grid heater. I doubt I have been in single digit weather but know I have been in the teens and it started without issue.

Man, now you have me wondering if I am missing anything. Nice work on the property.. There is a lot of neat areas around that area that merit exploring not to mention the park isn't something you can take in in a day. Now they charge a winter entry fee... Sigh..
