What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

The value in Wits End was that they sold you all the parts needed in a kit. Nothing more frustrating than buying a thermostat from your local dealer only to find that it doesn't include the gasket.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

This was last weekend but a weekend none the less. Finally got round to replacing the cooling system along with a new Koyorad radiator. Pressurized the system make sure everything was good. Well pissed off. I had bought the radiator back in Feb '23 but thankfully Koyrad have agreed to a...

I almost always remove the driveshaft to grease them. Much better results plus you can properly grease the yokes this way.

They might fall off a table. They won't fall far where they are plus they have some nice cozy amazon cardboard to rest on. :)

Are you sure you don't have a blocked rear drain on your sunroof? That looks very much like a water stain.

@LC4LIFE Did you replace the knuckle studs? Reason i ask is that on mine the nut covers all except the last thread on the stud while yours look like they have 3 or 4 threads showing.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Pulled the headliner down to tackle a few jobs and found a mouse nest :hmm: He/she/it had pulled the insulation from the back of the roof. Not sure if this was the same critter but i found his "holiday home" under the drivers seat. So far i have found 3 bees/wasps nests and a few other...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

The big stuff was bead blasted by the dude who did my cylinder head. The smaller, delicate things were cleaned, etched and painted with POR15 high temp aluminium paint. I admit i might have got a little carried away with POR15 but if you put in the effort to prep the metal the paint lasts for ages.
