Shouldn't need to aim the headlights any differently as its still a halogen bulb in a housing designed for halogen bulbs, just enjoy the 1.5X light output.

You've got yours mounted with the long tread blocks to the outside, opposite of the pic of the other guy's. Can they be run either way then, or is one "right"?

That's pretty cool. Has it passed the freeway speed test yet? Driver's side looks to have a small gap in the seal at the front edge that air could catch, and the whole thing could be shifted towards the passenger side to center it on the roof.
Interesting, both of mine would idle for an hour or more at -10C and never register on the temp gauge. Even with some cardboard jammed in front of the rad.
The 1HD-T is a cold blooded beast, I run my webasto when it's this cold, even when the truck has been in my heated garage, to help bring temps up more quickly. It would never warm up idling, it needs some load to generate heat, so it's a fine line between babying it while it's cold and trying...
