I'm still sitting on original 70's seat-vinyl. The driver is starting to crack.
176 deg.F is about normal for vinyl tape.
I use the ACE tape for less adhesive, the HF tape for more permanent/sticky (wire is easy to buy).
I'm sure they all add a VOC haze to the inside of the windshield.
I'm pretty sure that the vapors of the engine bay have eaten away at self-vulcanizing wrap that I used. It looks like mice chewed at it - must have been interesting, or I over stretched it. It is on the battery +. I use self-vulcanizing where I need to make an extra layer of weather...
You are build a wiring harness. If not harness tape, use split conduit if it must be conveniently serviced. You can do a non-adhesive wrap under a real tape, like OEMs do, so that you can take it apart if needed.
