My Koyo rad was a good one, no issues and the fit was perfect, craftmanship looks great as well and i didn't have any bent fins. Very happy overall and it survived the nasty heat wave we had over the summer.
LOL interesting that we got the same pin hole leak but on opposite sides, this must be where they join the plastic pieces together to make the top. the weak link of it, i don't think a solid piece would have a leak like that.
I'm very happy with the fit and finish of the Koyo brand. Everything was spot on and looked fantastic. I'm normally an OEM only kinda guy when buying parts but this time i'm more than happy with the unit. Will stress test it this weekend when i take her up the mountains to go snowboarding, a...
Doing my radiator today, the Koyo unit looks great, very thick and beefy and i didn't see any cracked or bent sections of the fins. Also found master splinter Corona 2.0
It's really a pleasure to wrench on this truck since it's rust free, every bolt comes out easily and nothing breaks...
OEM, 200K miles 2007 LX, it looks new minus that little hairline crack, which sucks.
Radiator guy just dropped off my Koyo, box is straight and the inside has another box, so it would survive shipping if you get it online. Made in Indonesia
I developed a hairline crack on the top of it, found out at work doing my weekly check. I cleaned the area, drained some coolant and applied some JB weld temporarily, it actually held up and didn't leak at all for a few days. When i had this thought of this being too good to be true i stress...
Advance is screwing with me, now they're saying out of stock and the price is 215. I called my local radiator guy and picked up a Koyo brand for $195, i'll just go with that. I've had good experiences with Koyo on my other cars so i'll give that a try.
Do you guys prerinse your radiator with distilled water before installing? Not sure how the manufacturing process is for them but i don't want any debris or aluminum shavings in there.
local advance has CSF for 150 at my cost, so i'll go with that. Put it through some stress test redlining and uphill climbing and see how it holds up, i need it to survive my trip out west this year.
I do have an account with the local Toyota Dealership, i'll give them a call tomorrow and see how much the OEM ones are going for at cost. 2007 LC should be the same as the LX i assume.
I've got a hairline crack in my OEM radiator, i need to replace it. Looking on Rock Auto for a CSF and looks like 98-2007 are all the same part number? Can anyone confirm this?
